
Two people lost their lives in a road accident at Siyapei Bridge, approximately 9 kilometres east of Narok Police Station, on Monday evening.
According to a police report filed at Narok Police Station, the incident involved a Skygo motorbike and an Isuzu FR lorry. Both vehicles were travelling from Narok towards Mai Mahiu when the lorry reportedly attempted to overtake the motorbike, forcing it off the road and causing a collision.
The crash claimed the lives of the motorbike rider, 25-year-old Leonard Ntoika Sanoe, and a pillion passenger, 60-year-old Parsariro Sanoe. A second passenger, 40-year-old Muyani Ntaiya, sustained minor injuries and is currently in stable condition at Narok County Referral Hospital.
The bodies of the deceased have been moved to the Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary, where post-mortem examinations are expected to be conducted.
The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the accident and is currently at large. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and are urging members of the public with any information to assist in their investigations.
