Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy recently disclosed his plans to tie the knot in 2026, though he remains open to dating before then.
During an interview with Radio Maisha’s Clemmo, he explained:
“I’m taking a break until 2026. No woman wants a broke man. I don’t have children out of wedlock, and I’ve decided to have kids only within marriage. In 2026, you’ll meet my in-law. While dating is allowed, I’m serious about it only in 2026.”
Career Growth and Family Involvement
Stevo credited his success to his evolving image, team, and family involvement.
“I changed my dressing, hairstyle, and other things. My team has played a big role in my progress. Now, my family oversees my work, including my shows and payments, ensuring I’m treated fairly. Many artists avoid management, but if it’s good, you can achieve a lot. I also own my social media accounts now. My advice: stay prayerful, work hard, remain humble, and release quality music.”
Personal Life and Celibacy
In a Mic Cheque Podcast interview, the 33-year-old revealed his commitment to celibacy until marriage.
“I’ve never spent the night at a woman’s house. For me, it’s marriage or nothing. When my body gets heated, I take a cold shower to manage the urge.”
Earlier this year, Stevo expressed willingness to break his celibacy vow if Betty Kyallo accepted his love proposal. Speaking with Ali, he admitted to being celibate for ten months following his last relationship.
“I’m different from other men. Some say they can’t live without a woman and resort to immorality, but patience is key. Just wait, and you’ll find your partner.”
Stevo took Betty on a date after she agreed to his proposal. However, he’s still awaiting her response.
“I’m waiting for Betty’s answer. Once she decides, you’ll see it online.”
