Florence Wanjiku, the estranged partner of Nakuru pastor Elias Njeru, has been sharing her recovery journey on social media after surviving a traumatic domestic incident. Florence was hospitalized weeks ago following an alleged attack by Njeru. As she continues her healing, she has been posting uplifting and positive content to inspire her followers.
Despite the physical and emotional toll of her injuries, Florence has chosen to focus on hope and positivity. In a recent TikTok video, she joyfully danced to a Kikuyu song while wishing her followers a happy Jamhuri Day. Although her hand was still bandaged, her infectious energy was clear. She captioned the video, “Happy Jamhuri Day, my fellow women.”
In another emotional post, Florence appeared alongside a security guard, reflecting on her recovery process, sharing an empowering message: “I am a kind-hearted person. Don’t underrate people.”
Complicated Relationship History Between Njeru and Florence
In December 2024, Njeru opened up about his relationship with Florence and his marital background during an interview with Metha ya Kagoni. The pastor revealed that he had been married for 12 years to his wife, Wairimu, and they have three children in Nairobi. Florence, from Nakuru, was his second wife.
“I have one wife in Nairobi. We have been together for twelve years with three children, and I have another wife in Nakuru,” Njeru shared.
He explained that he met Wairimu in their teenage years and married her while they were students at Kenyatta University. “My wife’s name is Wairimu, and we got married in campus. I first saw her when she was in Class Seven in Kirinyaga County,” Njeru recounted, noting that their relationship grew stronger during their university years.
While living in Nairobi, Njeru became romantically involved with Florence after they partnered in business. “Getting another family does not mean I had issues with my wife. We were doing business together, and in those activities, we ended up having a child,” he clarified.
Njeru admitted to keeping his second family a secret from his first wife in order to stay involved in his son’s life with Florence. However, the truth was revealed in July 2024 when Florence contacted Wairimu and disclosed her existence. “We were together for almost two years before my first wife found out. I was buying time to be involved in my child’s life,” Njeru explained.
The relationship between Florence and Njeru became more strained in November 2024 after a violent altercation was caught on CCTV in a parking lot. The incident allegedly ended with Njeru stabbing Florence 18 times. Afterward, Njeru turned himself in at the Nakuru Police Station on November 25, but he was later released on bail as investigations continued.
