How to Verify phone number linked to iTax.

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has asked Kenyans to verify their mobile numbers linked to the iTax system. In a notice on Tuesday, KRA explained that the initiative aims to ensure the accuracy of taxpayer records, enhancing service delivery to all users.

This verification is part of a data cleanup exercise focused on updating Personal Identification Number (PIN) registration details.

To confirm their mobile number, KRA instructs taxpayers to log into the iTax system using their PIN and password. The system will then display the mobile number currently associated with the taxpayer’s PIN.

If the displayed number is correct, taxpayers should select “Send Verification Code,” after which a code will be sent to that number. If the displayed number is incorrect, taxpayers should update it to their preferred number and then select “Send Verification Code.”

A verification code will be sent to the updated number, which taxpayers must enter to complete the verification process on iTax.
