Equity Group reports a Ksh 51 billion pre-tax profit for the first nine months.

Kenya’s Equity Group Holdings (EQTY.NR) reported a pretax profit of Ksh.51 billion ($397 million) for the first nine months of 2024, up from Ksh.45.9 billion in the same period last year. As Kenya’s largest lender by customer base, Equity Group also operates across Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The company’s net interest income increased to Ksh.80.59 billion, compared to Ksh.72.6 billion during the same period in 2023.
