The stabbing, which occurred on November 9, reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over personal belongings. The four students, who had recently returned to school after a suspension, allegedly attacked Ngugi after finding their items destroyed. Authorities are investigating how the students acquired the knife.

Ngugi’s mother expressed her shock and grief over her son’s death, as the family had hoped he would complete his exams safely. Efforts to save him were unsuccessful, and he died from a stab wound to his abdomen. His body is currently at Nakuru Morgue awaiting a postmortem.
