Building under construction collapses in Mombasa.

A building under construction in the Majengo area of Mombasa County has collapsed.

The Kenya Red Cross reports that two individuals have been rescued, while one person is feared to be trapped in the rubble.

A multi-agency response team, including the Kenya Police, Mombasa County Government, and the Kenya Red Cross, is actively conducting search and rescue operations. Construction workers on-site are also assisting with the rescue efforts.

This incident follows a recent collapse of an eight-storey building in Kahawa West, Nairobi, which had been condemned for demolition.
