GATWIRI DEMISE UPDATE
Following the untimely passing of our beloved friend, sister, and thespian, BRENDA GATWIRI, a postmortem was performed on October 30th, 2024, at Kenyatta University Funeral Home, in the presence of her family. The findings revealed that she died from positional asphyxia with brain oedema. A full toxicology report will be conducted to rule out poisoning or intoxication. Burial arrangements are in progress, with the exact date to be confirmed by her immediate family soon.
Thank you for your patience! Rest in Peace, Gatwiri.
Positional asphyxia with brain oedema refers to a situation where the body’s position impairs breathing. The condition is diagnosed based on three factors: the position compromising normal breathing, the failure to move to a different position, and the exclusion of other causes of death. Causes can include allergic reactions, drowning, or airway obstruction. Symptoms often include trouble breathing, loss of consciousness, and difficulty speaking. Preventative measures can reduce the risk of asphyxiation.
