A Rwandan man suspected by police of being a receiver of stolen mobile phones in Kisauni, Mombasa, was arrested on Wednesday. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended Ndaziziye Augustin Umurundi at his residence following intelligence reports.
“A thorough search of the premises revealed a collection of ten mobile phones and a power bank, all believed to be stolen property,” police reported.
Among the recovered items, detectives were able to identify three phones and link them to their rightful owners. Investigators are currently analyzing the remaining devices to trace their owners, while Ndaziziye remains in custody awaiting arraignment.
