Dem Wa Facebook responds to rumors about a road accident.

Kenyan comedian Dem Wa Facebook has addressed online rumors claiming she was involved in a road accident. Taking to her social media, she clarified the situation and reassured her fans that she was safe.

“Hi guys,” she began on an Instagram story recorded from the balcony of an apartment. Using a screenshot of her red car, she continued:

“Hi kamama, Hi Kababa, I’m always happy, but today I’m very disappointed. Guys, watu wangu tafadhali—my people kindly—sijapata ajali. I have not been involved in an accident and have never been in any road accident. Right now, people are calling me to ask, ‘Oh, uko hospitali gani? Oh, umevunjika wapi?'”

The flood of concerned calls led her to clarify online, as the rumors had even worried her family.

“Sijapata ajali. I have not had an accident. My mother called me, stressed, asking what had happened. Sijui ali faint. Sasa ako stress huko ushago,” she shared.

Dem Wa Facebook urged people to verify information before posting online. “Kindly, before you post something, confirm and check first. It was just a small scratch,” she explained, adding that the incident occurred in a parking lot.

To emphasize, she stated, “I can show you how it looks, so you can tell me if that’s an accident. People are reposting and resharing, feeling sorry for me, but guys, I have not had an accident. Ati my first accident? No! Si ajali, guys, yawa!”

The comedian had proudly revealed her red car in September, gifted by Pastor Burale and celebrated with Otile Brown’s song Ni Woe. Overwhelmed with emotion, she had shared the milestone with her fans, who flooded her post with congratulatory messages.
