COTU Extends Congratulations to US President-Elect Trump.

The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Kenya has extended congratulations to US President-elect Donald J. Trump on his election as the 47th President of the United States of America.

In a statement, COTU thanked God for guiding and protecting Trump to the presidency, especially at this critical juncture in global politics. “News of Trump’s election has been warmly received by Kenyan workers, who have long valued the strong ties between Kenya and the United States,” the statement read.

COTU expressed hope that under President Trump, the U.S. would continue to be a vital partner in addressing both local and global challenges. The organization emphasized that effective global leadership requires individuals who not only show decisiveness but also uphold moral and Godly values. “Countries around the world need strong, God-fearing leaders who can take decisive action on critical global issues. The election of President Trump represents not just a victory for global stability but also a fresh wave of action-oriented leadership,” the statement continued.

COTU is optimistic that President Trump’s leadership will bring a much-needed shift on the global stage, marked by pragmatic solutions to pressing issues. The union underscored that this form of leadership is essential, especially in the face of rising ungodly leadership and policies that conflict with the moral values shared by many nations, including Kenya.

“As Kenyan workers, we place our trust in President Trump to bring the necessary change and counter the rise of ungodly leaders and policies that extend beyond their borders. Kenya is a God-fearing nation, and we will continue to support President Donald J. Trump,” the statement declared.

COTU reaffirmed the importance of continued collaboration between Kenya and the United States during President Trump’s administration. The union also expressed confidence that President Trump would work alongside the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) to champion the interests and welfare of American workers.

In closing, COTU reiterated its solidarity with the American people, particularly the working-class voters who played a crucial role in Trump’s victory.
