Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami has revealed that she will be stepping back from her music career temporarily to focus on her health after collapsing on stage due to an asthma attack. She shared on her social media that during her performance at #OktobaFest, she had been full of energy until her asthma flared up, leading to her collapse as she was exiting the stage.
In her post, Nadia thanked her team, including her dancers and DJ, for their quick response and expressed gratitude to the event organizers for their support. She plans to take a break until the 15th of the month to prioritize her recovery.
According to the Mayo Clinic, while asthma cannot be cured, its symptoms can be managed. Common symptoms include shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing, and coughing, often worsening with respiratory infections or specific triggers like exercise, stress, cold air, or allergens.
