Veteran media personality Kamene Goro appeared to respond to recent claims from three former colleagues who accused her of being a “two-faced mean girl” who outwardly supports rising talents while privately undermining them.
Starting her response with humor, Kamene quipped, “First off, let me put on some lip balm lest they say my lips are dry,” poking fun at her critics in a video she posted on Instagram, which highlighted her on-air moments.
She continued by sharing insights on privacy and discretion, saying, “One thing I’ve learned over the years is that the less people know, the better. This applies across the board but especially to your personal and professional life. The less you reveal, the less ammunition others have against you. Not everything needs a response.”
Kamene then used a boxing match as an analogy, explaining that “there is no fight if only one person is in the ring. Sometimes, it’s better to be the person who stays out, avoiding unnecessary conflicts.” She added, “If someone comes at you with negativity, you don’t have to engage. As the saying goes, ‘don’t argue with a fool; they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.’”
Concluding her message, Kamene advised, “Never let your troubles show. I don’t walk around looking like my struggles, do I? Baby girl, respect yourself enough to rise above certain situations. Why argue with a fool? Take that advice to heart.”
In the post caption, she reiterated, “There can’t be a fight with just one person in the ring, baby girl.”
The response came after three former colleagues, who recently left the station, went live on TikTok to recount negative experiences working with Kamene. One even alleged that Kamene sabotaged King Kalala’s career instead of mentoring her as instructed.
