On Monday, President William Ruto presided over the Pass-out Parade of National Youth Service (NYS) trainees in Gilgil, Nakuru County. He was joined by Public Service CS Justin Muturi and Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika.
President Ruto praised the recruits for their exceptional honor, discipline, patriotism, eagerness to learn, and readiness to embrace new challenges. He noted, “Your resilience and determination reflect the core principles and spirit of the National Youth Service.”
He urged the recruits to remain dedicated and pursue success by maintaining diligence, commitment, integrity, teachability, and a strong sense of service. “You have the qualities required to excel in patriotism, entrepreneurship, and public service,” he said. “Your country has high expectations for each of you, and I am confident in your ability to make a meaningful impact. Go forth and build your legacy as individuals, as members of this graduating class, and as NYS alumni.”
The President also recognized the hard work of instructors, mentors, administrative staff, and the organization’s leadership in preparing the recruits with vital skills and knowledge.
