A woman was killed in a domestic altercation in Kimilili, Bungoma County. The police are searching for the husband of the 23-year-old victim, Belinda Wanjala, in connection with the murder that occurred on August 17. Belinda was discovered in her home with severe injuries, including deep cuts to her head, legs, and hands.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear. A relative visiting the couple noticed a lack of response from the house in Maruti village and found Belinda’s body with the injuries described. At that time, the house was open, and the husband was missing.
Police have examined the scene and transported the body to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigation. An investigative team visited the site on Sunday as part of the ongoing search for the suspect and has urged him to turn himself in.
