Dem Wa Facebook and Oga Obinna have responded to Bahati’s accusation that they stole his song ‘Namposti’ by criticizing him.

Kenyan comedians Oga Obinna and Dem Wa Facebook have hit back at gospel artist Kevin Bahati, who accused them of copying his song. During their weekly show, the duo dismissed Bahati’s claims and suggested he stop being envious.

Dem Wa Facebook rejected the accusations, emphasizing that their song was an original work. “We put in a lot of effort, shot the video, and it’s been trending. Now Bahati, Diana’s husband, is claiming we stole his song,” she said.

Oga Obinna added a touch of humor, joking that the only thing he might consider taking from Bahati is his wife. He explained that the song’s inspiration came during a road trip while listening to a mix. “The idea struck me during a trip, and I recorded voice notes while driving. That’s how ‘Namposti’ came to life,” Obinna explained.

He also highlighted that the song’s success was a joint effort involving Goon, DVD Power, and a Tanzanian producer.
