After a seven-year hiatus from the Republic of Congo, Niska, the French rapper renowned for his numerous albums, continues to inspire the youth with his music.
Returning to his roots, Niska performed in front of an enthusiastic audience, delivering fan-favorite tracks such as “Sapé comme jamais,” “44,” and “Charly Delta,” which were joyfully sung along by the crowd.
“Niska is an artist I find deeply inspiring. I listen to his music regularly, and it fills me with pride. We all need that kind of inspiration,” said Jada, a leading artist.
Invited to perform two concerts in Pointe Noire and Brazzaville, the rapper, of Congolese descent, expressed his joy in reconnecting with his heritage and called for love, hope, and unity.
“I hope the energy will be electric, with love and sharing filling the atmosphere during this festive night here in Pointe Noire,” Niska remarked.
Born to Congolese parents, with a father who was a singer, Niska, whose real name is George Stanislas Dinga Pinto, channels his deep connection to Congo through his music. His lyrics often delve into universal themes like identity, belonging, and social issues.
In these concerts, he aimed to spotlight the talented artists from his homeland who often struggle for recognition and support. “We all have the potential to reach the top, which is why I’m thrilled that so many local artists will be part of both concerts. It gives us a chance to showcase the incredible talent we have here,” he said.
As reported by Cédric Lyonnel SEHOSSOLO for Africanews, “This concert has further solidified the bond between Muana Mboka, affectionately known as the child of the country, and his Congolese roots. Niska remains a role model for many young people who often lack guidance here.”
