On August 13th, 2024, a tragic accident along the Nakuru–Nairobi Highway claimed the lives of five family members. The collision involved a Mercedes and a lorry. The Mercedes was attempting to overtake when it collided with the lorry, resulting in the immediate deaths of five individuals.
