Akothee and Nelly Oaks change their relationship dynamic during their trip to Uganda.

Singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, widely known as Akothee, recently shared her experiences from a successful trip to Uganda with her manager, Nelly Oaks.

In a post on Monday evening, the 43-year-old artist announced that she and Nelly Oaks had renewed their vows, officially making them husband and wife.

She expressed her appreciation for Uganda, noting that their love was deepened during the visit. “Yooo Uganda did a number on us. We went as manager and artist, and we’re coming back home as husband and wife. Did you see our vows renewed in Uganda? Thank you so much, Uganda, you have strengthened my love life. I love you, Uganda,” the mother of five shared.

Akothee also mentioned plans to return to Uganda soon. Recently, she and Nelly Oaks have been enjoying a tourism-focused trip in the country.

The couple has been publicly celebrating their relationship over the past few months after rekindling their romance following Akothee’s breakup with Denis Schweizer last year.

Late last year, during a live TikTok session, Akothee appeared to confirm their renewed relationship. While Nelly Oaks prepared a special meal for her in the kitchen, she affectionately referred to him as “babe,” a term often used between lovers. Nelly also expressed his affection, calling Akothee someone special to him as they shared romantic moments on camera.

“This is a special dinner for someone as special as you. It’s a surprise,” Nelly Oaks told her during the session.

Akothee also defended Nelly against other women expressing their affection for him, implying that he was unavailable. When fans inquired if Nelly had a girlfriend, Akothee confidently asserted her position, saying, “You’re asking if Nelly has someone?! Do you think I’m a stone? Am I a stone? Or am I a tree? You’re asking if Nelly has someone, do you think I’m a stone? Or a stick? Don’t test my patience. It’s my life, and I live it the way I want.”

The mother of five also declined a request for Nelly Oaks’ phone number, stating that she could even unlock and use his phone.
