TikToker Njoki Murira has spoken out after enduring days of online trolling due to explicit images and videos that went viral. She asserts that these images are fake and claims the trending videos do not feature her.
“It has come to my attention that pictures and videos are circulating online allegedly showing me in compromising situations. I want to assure you that these images and videos are not of me. This is false information. After a thorough investigation, I found out that the individual in the video is someone else named Sameeha, with the Twitter handle @sameeha10162,” Njoki posted on her Instagram page.
“I encourage you to verify this information for yourselves. I sincerely apologize for any distress or conclusions this may have caused. Your support means the world to me, and I am committed to maintaining your trust and respect. Thank you for understanding and standing by me.”
Despite Njoki’s clarification, many netizens continued to doubt her, leading to more trolling and hurtful comments.
“Hakuna kujitetea ushajoin kikosi ya kanini,” one user wrote.
“Kua tu proud na usonge na masidha alicia alitoboa,” another commented.
Such scandals have become increasingly intense, with some being true and others fabricated. Victims often experience significant mental and emotional distress from the negative comments, which can lead to depression if not managed carefully.
