Kathy Kiuna gets emotional while celebrating her birthday without her husband.

Bishop Kathy Kiuna will be celebrating her first birthday without her husband, Allan Kiuna, who recently passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Although her birthday falls on July 31st, her congregants decided to honor her during a church service on July 27th. During the celebration, she reflected on how her late husband surprised her with a birthday party in 2023.

Wearing a chic black dress and coordinating kimono, Kathy struggled to hold back tears as she remembered him.

“This is a surprise, and I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to all of you. This has been a challenging time, and your love and support have made it so much easier for me. I truly don’t take it for granted, and yes, I will definitely enjoy this birthday.”

Here are some birthday messages from various people to Kathy:

jcckenya: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR MATRIARCH, OUR LADY BISHOP @revkathykiuna. You are the woman God has chosen for this generation at such a time as this. You embody wisdom, love, grace, and, as we have seen in recent weeks, incredible strength. The Lord is with her; she will not falter. He is her strength and the light of her life, her shield and banner. We are honored to call you mother. We love and celebrate you.”

Maina Kageni: “Celebrating this woman of valor today. A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Rev Kathy Kiuna! You are the embodiment of great strength. May God bless you abundantly as you continue to do His work!”

Pst Judy Achero: “Wishing a very happy birthday to our Mum, Rev Kathy Kiuna. Thank you for remaining strong through everything and keeping our JCC family united. While this may be your first birthday without Dad, I hope you find joy on this special day as the world celebrates you. We love you, Mum.”
