A family in Kipeyok, Loikas village, in Maralal is crying out for justice after their kin, a mother of four, was raped and killed while returning home from conducting business in Maralal town on Monday night.
Silvana Loroto, the sister of the late Rose Napeyok, has urged the government to arrest the killers, who remain at large.
In recent days, five women have been attacked and two raped in the area, specifically in a bush just a few meters from the Samburu County Commissioner’s office.
County Investigating Officer Martin Omumbo stated that his office had received two reports of attacks on women and that investigations are ongoing.
Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda condemned the incident and called for justice.
