Eight Candidates Shortlisted for Deputy Inspector General Positions.

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has shortlisted candidates for the positions of Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service (DIG-KPS) and Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service (DIG-APS).

NPSC Chief Executive Officer Peter Leley announced the shortlisted candidates for the position of DIG-KPS: George Adero Sedah, Eliud Kipkoech Lagat, Tom Mboya Odero, and Dr. Vincent Kinas Makokha.

For the position of DIG-APS, the shortlisted candidates are Gilbert Masengeli, Margaret Nyambura Karanja, James Mukuha Kamau, and Dr. Masoud Mwinyi.

Interviews for these candidates are scheduled for Monday, July 22, 2024, starting at 9:30 am. Those shortlisted for DIG-KPS will be interviewed first, from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm, followed by the DIG-APS candidates from 2:00 pm to 4:15 pm. The interviews will be held at the Kenya School of Government, Lower Kabete Campus in Nairobi.

A total of 38 individuals applied for the positions of Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service and Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service following the Commission’s advertisement. Of these, 21 applied for the DIG-KPS position, while 13 applied for the DIG-APS position. Four applicants, Paul Omondi Okinyi, Brian Wekesa Wanyonyi, Abdirashid Bilali, and Nicholas Mwiti, did not specify which position they were applying for.

The public is encouraged to submit any relevant information about the candidates through written memoranda to the Commission’s chairperson or online by Monday next week.
