Sauti Sol band member Bien-Aime Baraza has expressed gratitude to Gen Zs, crediting them with rescuing the country from poor governance.
Speaking to Kiss 100’s Dennis Milimo during the launch of his deluxe album ‘Alusa, Why Are You Topless?’, Bien noted his appreciation for Gen Z’s authenticity and their role in liberating the nation.
“As a member of Gen Z myself, I’m proud of us. Gen Z, thank you. I can’t say anything more than that, just thank you for being authentic, true to yourselves, and for rescuing us from this challenging government,” Bien said.
“Thank you, Gen Z. I appreciate you guys.”
Aside from expressing gratitude to Gen Z, Bien also announced the release of his new album today, urging fans to stay tuned for its melodious offerings.
“This album has been a beautiful journey of self-discovery. I’m incredibly grateful to you all for keeping this music alive and making it meaningful in your lives. Also, much love to my featured brothers in this project: @adekunlegold, @fallyipupa01, @officialwretch32, @princeindah, @rayvanny. I couldn’t have done this without you. Here’s a gift from me to keep you warm in this weather. We stay grinding. ‘Alusa, Why Are You Topless Deluxe’ out Friday. 🚀🇰🇪🌹❤️🧠😈🎂,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
Bien also explained that the deluxe edition of the album aims to keep the momentum going and maintain relevance in the industry.
“The deluxe edition is extra music to keep the fire burning. If you’ve got wood and the fire’s lit, it’s burning bright and you’re adding more wood to keep it going,” Bien said.
He also revealed his busy schedule, with performances lined up in countries like Burundi, Nigeria, and the USA, before returning to Kenya for Sol Fest.
