Kane demonstrates excellence in difficult times.

Harry Kane’s routine came under the spotlight when the 30-year-old commented on the Euro 2024 final in front of TV cameras.

Following England’s 2-1 loss to Spain in the final on Sunday, the seasoned Bayern Munich striker spoke candidly about England’s accomplishment in reaching the last two Euro finals and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the support from the team’s fans.

Meanwhile, stories emerged about the captain’s unfortunate record in finals, highlighting the fact that the former Tottenham striker had lost his sixth career final, coupled with his unfulfilled dream of winning his first trophy.

Despite scoring 390 goals in 578 games for both club and country, including 66 goals for England and 44 goals for Bayern in the 2023-24 season, Kane has yet to lift any silverware.

“I’d swap everything I’ve done in my career to have a special night and win [Euro 2024],” the forward stated before Sunday’s final.

Kane consoled his tearful teammates and congratulated the victorious Spanish players, while British media and fans on social media called for his resignation from the England team.

After failing to secure a title with Bayern Munich this season, the Euro 2024 final marked another low point for the striker.

Being substituted in both the semifinal and the final could be seen as a sad chapter in the career of one of football’s greatest attackers. This was the second consecutive final he had lost, following the Euro 2020 defeat to Italy.

The Daily Mirror speculated that the England captain might have been affected by several minor injuries during the 2023/24 season, preventing him from reaching his peak form.

Germany’s record international and current TV pundit Lothar Matthaus suggested that Kane’s substitution was evidence that “he isn’t at his top level.”

It was small consolation that Kane was one of six players to win the Golden Boot, having scored three goals in the tournament.

TV coverage showed Kane with tears in his eyes after his team missed their last chances to equalize, confirming their defeat.

“It’s hard to find the right words to describe our feelings. It hurts to have given away the momentum we gained throughout the game after 1-1,” he said.

For many minutes, TV viewers saw Kane wandering aimlessly on the pitch, lost in thought.

In the coming weeks, Kane may contemplate his team’s future, while his club Bayern has announced plans to support him with titles in the next season.
