Anerlisa Muigai celebrated her partner Joe Kariuki’s birthday with a romantic candlelit dinner, which she joyfully shared on social media. She expressed her love for him and wished him a happy birthday, humorously mentioning his surprising shyness despite his tough exterior. Anerlisa also revealed that Joe prefers not to have a social media presence.
Earlier this year, Anerlisa had asked her friends for financial help to bail Joe out of police custody. Unfortunately, one of her WhatsApp group friends leaked the message to the public.
Reflecting on the incident, Anerlisa commented, “When you think you have genuine friends, then suddenly a blogger sends you a screenshot from a private group. Tomorrow it could be you. I’ve learned not everyone can be relied upon, and that’s alright. Fortunately, we managed without their assistance. #GodFirst.”
Anerlisa further reflected on the nature of friendships, stating, “Fake friends are like shadows, always around during your best moments but absent during your toughest times. True friends are like stars; you might not always see them, but they’re always there.”
Muigai also confirmed she identified the person who betrayed her trust. “You might hide behind fake accounts, but technology doesn’t lie. I’m relieved to have uncovered the person who leaked my message,” she wrote on her Instagram stories, concluding with, “The person who smiles with you could also be your Judas. #ChapterClosed.”
