Migori Governor Ochilo Ayacko urged the youth to reconsider their position and engage in dialogue with President William Ruto. He emphasized that dialogue is the most effective way to address their concerns. Ayacko expressed that the dialogue should be inclusive and open to all who wish to participate.
“I encourage the young people, especially Gen Z, to take advantage of this opportunity and participate in the discussion. Those available should join, while those opting to protest can peacefully highlight their concerns,” Ayacko stated.
He emphasized, “Refusing to engage in dialogue is not the solution. The only way forward is for Kenyans to come together and discuss.”
Recently, Ruto hinted at forthcoming changes in his government, while President Ruto called for a broad-based political arrangement to move the country forward. This initiative follows nationwide protests that posed challenges to Ruto’s administration.
Both Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga have called for extensive engagement to address Kenya’s political issues. Raila referenced the Nadco report, underscoring the need for resolution.
Despite this, Gen Z maintains their stance against dialogue, insisting on action to address their concerns.
