Medical, dental, and pharmacy interns persisted in their protests at the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, determined not to retreat until their demands were addressed.
For the second consecutive day, interns gathered at the MoH headquarters, voicing their frustration at the prolonged delay in their official postings following the completion of their studies.
They emphasized their entitlement to prompt postings within 30 days of graduation, as stipulated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, and Dentists Union (KMPDU).
The interns declared their unwavering stance, insisting they would not give up until their demands were met. Having invested over six years in medical school to acquire crucial knowledge and skills, they underscored the critical nature of their roles in healthcare.
They issued a stern warning that they would occupy the Ministry of Health headquarters until their grievances were satisfactorily addressed.
