A pastor was arrested in Webuye East, Bungoma, after human body parts were discovered in his car. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stated on Tuesday that the suspect was apprehended at a carwash in Bungoma’s Masikhu market on Monday.
“He had taken his car for a wash when the disturbing discovery was made,” the DCI reported.
The suspect serves as a pastor in a local ministry in Ndivisi Ward.
While cleaning the car’s boot, a carwash attendant noticed a partially burnt human leg among other body parts in a carton. The attendant informed the station manager, who immediately contacted the police.
Officers arrived before the suspect could leave and took him into custody.
“The suspect is currently assisting with the investigation,” the DCI stated on X.
The recovered body parts were sent to the Webuye County Hospital morgue for further analysis and preservation.
